Teasel Time

To the well trained eye, Rock Creek is a battlefield. A constant war is being waged between the alliance of native plants, and the thorny hordes of noxious teasel. Just when things were looking grim for the native plants, the reinforcements from Parrott Creek Ranch arrived. The kids split into two groups, with half the forces ripping up teasel by the roots while the other half worked to deliver water to the natives on the front line. After two hard fought hours, piles of teasel lay strewn on the ground, and the native plants could be seen basking in the sunlight.

Thanks Parrott Creek Ranch for helping us maintain a healthy watershed at Rock Creek.
